Olivia Newton-John Begins Delayed Flamingo Las Vegas Residency April 8
Fans of singer Olivia Newton-John will soon be able to see the “Grease” alum at Flamingo Las Vegas, as she starts a Las Vegas residency, “Summer Nights,” April 8, 2014.
Newton-John will be filling in for Donny & Marie during their time off, inside the Donny & Marie Showroom.
“Summer Nights” will feature an eight-piece band and take fans on a musical journey through Newton-John’s life and career.
The British-born Australian singer has sold more than 100 million albums, assuming you consider the “Grease” soundtrack an Olivia Newton-John album (it sold 28 million), and has had 11 singles go gold.

Her pop hits include classics like “Physical,” “Have You Never Been Mellow,” “Let Me Be There,” “If You Love Me Let Me Know” and “I Honestly Love You.”
In a sad element of this story, Newton-John was supposed to have begun a Flamingo residency in 2013, but had to postpone due to the death of her sister.
Here’s hoping Olivia Newton-John can recapture some of that “Grease” magic, and we’d be happy to step in for a little “Summer Nights” or “You’re the One That I Want” action.
Olivia Newton-John’s residency runs through Aug. 30, 2014, and tickets are $69, $99 and $139. A meet-and-greet package runs $249.
